Solomon (Sulayman), the servant of Imam Husain (PBUH), was born of Abu Razin’s marriage to Kabshah. Kabshah accompanied her master, Imam Husain (PBUH) to Karbala, and then she was return to Medina. It was an honor and the cause of prosperity for Kabshah and her son to be Aba Abdullah al-Husain’s servants. Her husband was also the companion of Imam Hassan (PBUH).
Solomon, Kabshah’s son, was the messenger of Imam Husain (PBUH) to the heads and the nobles of Basrah. He was beheaded by the order of Ubaydallah ibn Ziyad. (Solomon is the very servant of Imam Husain whose name is mentioned in Nahia Muqaddasah suplication.)
Umm Sulayman (Solomon’s mother) was a wise, learned and righteous woman, and she went to Karbala with her master, Imam Husain (PBUH). She observed all hardships and suffering of family of God’s Prophet, and tolerated all of them in the way of God.
