Arba’een in Dezful

Iranian have respected to the Prophet’s Family for many years. They have been happy in their happiness and have been sad in the Prophet’s Family sadness. Iran was all black in Arba’een anniversary. Iranian did mourning on Arba’een in all cities of their country. In this paper, the author tells a part of Dezfulian respect to the Prophet’s Family.

At the night of Arba’een, all mourning councils got together in front of Sabzeqaba shrine in the city center to do mourning. A lot of people took part at the mentioned meeting. It lasted for two hours. Disturbing factors like having cold weather, having the meeting as the first time, nearing final exams of students, etc. couldn’t effect on people’s presence. The participants at this big meeting were children, adults, women, men, young, old, etc. This ceremony showed by local channel (Khuzestan channel) live.
Another ceremony that has performed for 10 years is walking from Sabzeqaba shrine to Mohammad Ibn Ja’far in Dezful suburb. This distance is about seven kilometers. The almost long walking started from 7:00 A.M. and lasted at 1:00 P.M. A lot of people take part at this meeting (caravan) every year. Eulogists recited elegies and people beat their chests. In the middle of the way Dr. Sangari- the great professor and Ashura researcher delivered a speech about Imam Hussein and the messages of Ashura event. At the end of ceremony, in Mohammad Ibn Ja’far shrine the people saw some plays about Imam Hussein. During the seven kilometers distance, the inhabitants of Mohammad Ibn Ja’far village and other villages near it entertained people with different foods and drinks: rice, halva, water, etc. beside the road (free).
A lot of people were dispatched to Fatholmobin war zone (a place where was a war zone in war between Iran and Iraq) to both visit the mentioned place and promise again with martyrs (their relatives, friends, citizens, etc.) to follow their ways and remember Karbala martyrs and do mourning. This ceremony has performed for ten years. This year about 1000 Imam Hussein lovers took part at this ceremony. It started from Dezful Azadegan quarter to Fatholmobin  war zone near Susa. The mentioned distance is almost 40 kilometers. The mourners dispatched to Fatholmobin with a lot of buses or their own vehicles. They both did mourning and read Arba’een supplication there. Some of the participants who took part at this ceremony last years walked Najaf to Karbala on Arba’een day for third years consecutively this year.
