The First Station: Bustan ibn Mu’ammar (Ibn Āmir)

TIME OF ARRIVAL: Dhu al-Hijjah 8th, 60 A.H.

It was located between two valleys that were known as Nakhlah al-Yamani and Nakhlah al-Shami and it was belonged to Umar ibn Ubaydullah ibn Mu’ammer.

SOME IMPORTANT EVENTS

In this station, Farazdaq, the poet and his mother visited Imam Husain. (Some have reported that this meeting has occurred in other stations but the meeting in this station is more accurate.

Here “station” is used to mention those habitable areas in deserts having suitable water supply.
